WIFIK goes to our local libraries!
Even the most expensive system will not work if the human factor fails. That is why we decided to take care of the most delicate link in the digital worlds – the youngest internet users.
Digital education is no longer an add-on, but an element just as important as learning to read and write. Children are encountering smartphones, online games, and messengers earlier and earlier. From our point of view, taklking about cyber threats cannot wait until a child makes their first online mistake. It needs to start offline, long before the toddler begins to surf the web independently.
Cybersecurity starts with... a good story
That is precisely why we got involved in a project that combines the world of modern technologies with a traditional form of education. As a partner, we supported the publication of the book “Mikołaj i tajemnica Wifika” by Monika Świetlińska. This is a publication that, while avoiding scaring or moralizing, teaches children how to safely navigate the virtual world in the form of a colorful fairy tale.
Importantly, the content of the book is not just literary fiction. It was consulted with a wide range of experts – psychologists, educators, social media, and cybersecurity specialists. We are glad to have contributed our engineering brick to the project!
We decided to donate the sponsored print run to the Pan Kleks Library (Biblioteka Pana Kleksa) in Zielona Góra. Why this decision? It stems from a need – parents have long been asking for literature that helps introduce the topic of internet safety, and librarians feel a clear lack of materials tailored to preschool and early school age. Wifik has filled this gap!
Summer vacation is just around the corner - the perfect time for reading!
Summer vacation is approaching, a time when children spend significantly more time in front of screens (unfortunately). Parents do not always have the opportunity to monitor every click. A conversation supported by the adventures of Mikołaj and Wifik is an excellent introduction to a safe summer.
